CBS Packaging acquire new truck fleet to increase their operational efficiency

Founded in 1996, the West Bromwich manufacturer has invested in transport services since the beginning and has reinvented as a company in the past twenty years.

In April 2016 as part of their growth strategy, CBS Packaging took delivery of two Mercedes-Benz tractor units and three trailers. Staying ahead of the competition is key in a demanding sector like corrugated packaging. So getting the orders to the customer on time, every time is essential.

Consumer Goods Delivery

Our corrugated boxes and paper based products are being delivered from our West Bromwich factory through to our customers’ warehouses or points of sale. It’s important that during transit, the goods are kept in the same condition as they were first produced and loaded. Mercedes-Benz vehicles are known for their reputation in long distance transportation while delivering exceptional fuel economy. CBS Packaging support the environmental sustainability, hence the investment in a low emissions truck with exceptional driving dynamics.

Personalising our Trucks

Design is not just what it looks like and feels like. Design is how it works too. So we have acquired few of the best trucks for transporting goods, but we also need to put our print on them. Customising the fleet with our corporate colours and logo has made our trucks easily recognisable and authentic.

Having our trucks personalised allows the power of this visual imagery to carry our name on the road straight to our customers. Commenting on the investment, Managing Director, Jitha Singh said: “Early indicators of these new units are showing real improvements in terms of fuel economy and reliability. It’s important for CBS to deliver the orders on time and in a good condition, so acquiring the new trucks is part of our growth. We look forward to seeing how well these trucks perform on the road.”
